What it is

The short version

Aurelia is a normal Shopify theme — install it, then customise it in Online Store → Themes → Customize like any other. Nothing here needs code.

What makes it ours is the section library. Alongside Shopify's standard blocks there are 30 sections built for how we actually sell: shoppable lookbooks, size guides, delivery estimates, bundle pricing, trust badges. Every one is editable in the theme editor.

55 Shopify standard

The Dawn sections you already know — slideshows, featured collections, rich text.

73 from our old theme

Carried over from Ascendify so nothing we relied on was lost.

Step by step

Installing it on a store

  1. Download the zip from the button above. Don't unzip it — Shopify wants it as-is. That link is always the current build, so grab a fresh copy rather than reusing an old one.
  2. Upload it. Shopify admin → Online Store → Themes → Add theme → Upload zip file. It lands as a draft, not live.
  3. Preview it. Click Customize. You should see a full homepage with images and text already there — that's the built-in demo, not the real store.
  4. Work through the setup below before showing anyone.
  5. Publishing is not your call. Confirm with Abrar first. Preview links are fine to share.

Theme styles

In the theme editor, click the settings icon in the left sidebar, scroll to the bottom and open Theme style. Picking one changes fonts, colours and button shape across the entire store in one click.

StyleFontFeel
DawnAssistantShopify's plain default. Neutral starting point.
House of CBAssistantDeep wine buttons. Glamorous, occasion-wear.
ReformationJostPure black and white, square corners. Minimal.
AnthropologieNunito SansWarm cream and teal, softly rounded.
Free PeopleKarlaCream and charcoal. Relaxed, boho.
UrbanArchivoHigh contrast, oversized headings.
ParkeArchivoNavy, bold uppercase. Clean and sporty.

Pick a style before you hand-pick colours

Switching style overwrites the colour and font settings you've set, so choose the closest style first, then fine-tune. Shopify warns you about this when you switch — the warning is accurate. Switching never touches products, pages or images. Only the look.

Do these first

Setup on a new store

Aurelia ships deliberately blank on anything store-specific, so it can't carry one client's details onto another's site.

  1. Pick a theme style before anything else, since switching later overwrites your work.
  2. Business details. Theme settings → Business info. Name, address, phone, socials. This feeds what Google shows for the store, so typos are expensive. If a field doesn't apply, leave it blank — don't invent one.
  3. Fine-tune colours and fonts where the chosen style isn't quite the client's brand.
  4. Replace every placeholder image. Demo content uses stand-in photos. Any section with a blank Image field is still showing one.
  5. Delete the demo pages you don't need. Keep one as a starting point, remove the rest.

Numbers and claims

Sections that use live data

They read real data first — with a manual fallback

Low Stock Alert and Selling Fast read the store's actual inventory. Price with Badges works the saving out from the real compare-at price. Timed Discount counts down to a real deadline.

If the store doesn't track stock, or a product has no compare-at price, those sections would show nothing — so each has a manual mode where you set the number. Use it when the real data isn't there.

SectionManual settingWhat to put in it
Low Stock AlertMode → StaticSet Number to show to the stock you actually have.
Selling FastOnly when low → offShows your message on every product.
Price with BadgesWas price (manual)The price it genuinely used to sell at. A real compare-at always wins.
Timed DiscountRepeat → Daily / WeeklyFor an offer that really does reset — e.g. a weekly sale ending Sunday 23:59.

Keep the numbers true

A manual number is still a claim to a customer. "Only 3 left" on a product with 400 in stock, or a "was" price the item never sold at, is what gets a store reported and can breach consumer law — and shoppers spot it faster than you'd expect.

The recurring countdown is built so every visitor sees the same clock reach zero at the same moment. It is not a timer that restarts each visit. If someone asks for that, send them to Abrar.
